Pitch@Palace 4.0 Boot Camp took place on 14 October, 2015 at Imperial College London.
42 Entrepreneurs were selected from around the United Kingdom to Pitch their business idea at Pitch@Palace 4.0 Boot Camp. Included within the 42 Entrepreneurs were nine winners from the regional Pitch@Palace On Tour events which took place in Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh in September, 2015.
All 42 Entrepreneurs were given 3 minutes to Pitch their Internet of Things and Smart Cities business idea to the Boot Camp audience.
During the event guest speakers gave insights into the Internet of Things and Smart Cities as well as social media, networking and media engagement masterclasses. There was also a mentoring session.
Pitch@Palace 4.0 Boot Camp also welcomed previous Pitch@Palace alumni Sam Labs and Team Turquoise to talk about their experience at Pitch@Palace, and to discuss how to make the most of the event.
The Judges selected 15 Entrepreneurs to Pitch at Pitch@Palace 4.0. All 42 Entrepreneurs are able to attend the event on 2 November, 2015 at St. James’s Palace.
The Duke of York congratulated all 42 Entrepreneurs who Pitched on the day saying “you were all brilliant”. His Royal Highness thanked Imperial College London for hosting the event “I want to thank Imperial College – you have truly spoilt us in these palatial surroundings, we would love to come back.”
Imperial College London Professor James Stirling CBE said “The quality of Pitches was incredibly high, there were 42 winners today.”
